In 1883, the first lemonade factory opened in Mendrisio, whose bottlings were characterized by green glass bottles with corks. With the new range of Noé drinks, the manufacturers wanted to revive some historic recipes: tonic water, a Bitter Lemon Chinotto and a ginger beer. Under the motto “#iobevoticinese” (in English: I drink from Ticino), the manufacturers focus on regionality and aim to promote local products.
