Carnets de voyage: The Trio

Originally, we are absinthe producers. “The Green Hour”— the time of day when Parisians of all social classes met on the boulevards to consume the Green Fairy, back in the beginning of the 20th century — is an important period in the history of the spirit. It inspired us to create Carnets de Voyage: Paris IX, a fresh, elegant gin where the absinthe plant is unveiled with a discreet bitterness. Citrus zest accompanied by rose and bergamot are all nods to the perfumers and designers of the great Parisian Maisons. Carnets de voyage: Paris IX wins Gold at the Paris 2023 National Competition!

Bumbu, a traditional Balinese spice blend, is at the heart of the gin recipe for Carnets de Voyage: Bali. Here you are, setting off on a tour of the island… The scents of galangal, cinnamon and cloves take you on a stroll to the spice market of Ubud. The spiced notes of chilli pepper remind you of the power of the Agung volcano. The warmth of dragon fruit invites you to be enchanted by a sunset on Canggu Beach. The hibiscus flower, a symbol of beauty, helps you see through rose-tinted glasses. It’s Bali bottled : a rich, intense, surprising, colourful gin.

The fjord water bordering Oslo is unique: its surface is fresh water, while the bottom is made up of sea water. This rare combination guided the recipe for Carnets de Voyage: Oslo. First, a soft, lemony nose, then a breath of fresh, iodised air. Venturing a little further into its twists and turns, notes of dill and citrus hint at gravlax. And finally, what would a trip to Norway be without a touch of smoke ? The result reflects Scandinavian design: understated and warm.
