Falernum is a sweet liqueur whose first recipes date back to the 18th century. Born in Barbados, Falernum is originally made with white rum, replaced here with Larusée Bleue absinthe, and reveals sweet and spicy flavors of almond, lime, ginger and spices.
Larusée Absinthe Falernum is to taste on a bed of ice or as a ingredient of a cocktail: without Falernum, a Zombie is not a Zombie and a Mai Tai is not really a Mai Tai! Falernum, a key ingredient in tiki cocktails and Caribbean drinks, has made a spectacular comeback in recent years, thanks to the emergence of today’s modern tikis.

5cl of brown rum from Barbados (to respect the origins!)
2cl Cointreau
2cl of Falernum Larusee
The juice of a lime
1 sprig of mint
Pour the ingredients into a shaker, shake and serve in a glass filled with 3/4 ice cubes. Garnish with the sprig of mint.
